Real Barrier Extreme Cream – A Skincare Addict’s Dream

I first got Real Barrier’s Extreme Cream a couple of years ago in a big haul and it quickly became one of my all-time favourite moisturisers, especially for the Winter months. It’s held a spot among my favourite skincare products ever since I first tried it.

What is it and what does it do?

Simply: it’s a moisturiser.

More in-depth: Real Barrier Extreme Cream is a thick, rich moisturiser which alleges to deliver up to 72 hours hydration and moisture. Real Barrier are a Korean beauty brand who utilise MLE® Skin Barrier Formula, a patented technology which provides skin barrier with long-lasting moisture to heal, repair, and protect the skin barrier. Their primary focus is to protect the skin and repair broken skin barriers.

With a PH of 4.5 and formulated with MLE as well as hyaluronic acid, the skin barrier is well protected and hydrated with Extreme Cream. In addition to these, the cream contains ceramides, vitamin E, panthenol, squalane and oils and even more skin-treating ingredients.

How should it be used?

It is advised to use a ‘dime-sized amount’ and spread evenly over the face and neck in an upward motion as the last step in your skincare routine. Real Barrier also advise that you can use a thicker layer for 15-20 minutes as a moisture mask. This isn’t something I have done as just using it as a moisturiser is effective enough for me.

The results?

As I have alluded to already, I absolutely love the stuff.

This cream is without a doubt one of the most hydrating, moisturising, skin-treating creams I’ve had the pleasure of using. I don’t have particularly dry skin but this is a magical product for me even so. I can only imagine how amazing it must be for someone that suffers from dry skin.

My skin feels like it’s a force to be reckoned with when I use this. It is noticeably more hydrated, plump, smooth, soft, youthful, I could just go on with adjectives.

I’m really happy with this product and fully intend to get another one for the Winter as I’m almost out of it. I’d recommend it for anyone whose skin is in need of some TLC or even just a heavy-duty moisturiser for the wintry months. As always, do your own research and testing to make sure it’s right for you, and seek advice from a professional if necessary.
